Supporting the Mansfield Historical Museum, one Friend at a time.
The Mansfield Friends of the Museum is a committee of volunteers who actively support the Mansfield Historical Museum and its mission "to collect, preserve and share genealogical and historical data concerning the Mansfield community and its residents, while encouraging a greater understanding and appreciation of our heritage and traditions". Our primary goals are to raise funds through events such as Ghost Tours and North Texas Giving Day; and to promote the Mansfield Historical Museum and Society through Third Thursdays and other community events.
The Friends of the Museum is under the umbrella of the Mansfield Historical Society and abides by its bylaws. Dues are waived for Historical Society members, non member dues are $5.00 per year.

The Friends meet the last Wednesday of every month at a local Mansfield restaurant. Check out our Facebook page to find out more about our next meeting and what projects we are currently working on!
Fundraising and Promotion
Mansfield Ghost Tours began in 2015 and has become a major fundraising event for us. As a Friends member, you could guide a tour, tell a story at one of the stops on the tour, man the museum during the event, or help with promotion. Third Thursday is a monthly event in Historic Downtown Mansfield. There are games, food trucks, vendors, and more every month. Please visit the Third Thursday Mansfield Facebook page to find out more http://www.facebook.com/ThirdThursdaysMansfield
